As the San Pablo diocese mourns for the demise of their beloved first bishop, it hangs a long black veil attributing to their remembrance for their beloved prelate, Hagonoy's bishop-son.

The remains of the dear bishop are loyally guarded by the Knights of Columbus who have been valiant lay helpers and collaborators in the Church.

Ang mga huling pagkakataon na makasama ni Msgr. Vengco ang mga labi ni Bishop Pendoy, ang kanyang minahal na kababayang obispo. |
Bishop Pendoy,
Requiem aeternam
dona eis, Domine:
et lux perpetua luceat eis
In memoria aeterna
erit iustus:
ab auditione mala
non timebit.
(Introit: Mass for the Dead, Latin Sacramentary)
